Rolex Submariner Date -16613 - Very Good - Full Set (Box & Papers)

The Rolex Submariner was introduced in 1953 with the reference 6204 and was the first waterproof diver's watch in history. This model featured a stainless steel strap and a sturdy case that allowed it to be worn down to 100 meters. Its water resistant capability was later increased to 300 meters. Its unidirectional rotating bezel allows divers to track their dive times and decompression stops. Furthermore, the Rolex Submariner's glowing hands and markers make it easy to read even in deep water. This Rolex Submariner Date with reference 16613 appears in 1989 and is made of 18K yellow gold and steel. The bezel and dial are presented in two colors, blue and black; in addition, it has a resistance of 300 meters deep in water. Some pieces of this Rolex ref. 16613 have a dial that has changed color over time and the blue now has a more violet tone. This reference was also available with champagne color dial and diamond indexes, and with steel color dial with diamond and sapphire indexes.
