Rolex Submariner Date 16610 LV Mark 1

The Rolex Submariner, introduced in 1953 with reference 6204, was the first waterproof dive watch in history. This model, with its stainless steel bracelet and robust case, allowed for underwater descents to a depth of 100 meters. Its water resistance was later improved to reach 300 meters. The unidirectional rotating bezel enables divers to track their dive times and decompression stops. Additionally, thanks to its luminous hands and markers, the Rolex Submariner remains perfectly legible even in the darkness of deep waters. The Rolex Submariner 16610LV was produced for only five years (2003–2008). This reference, also nicknamed "Kermit", was launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Submariner. The 16610LV was the first Submariner to feature a green bezel, even before the famous "Hulk", which was released a year later.
