Rolex Rolex Submariner 16808

The Rolex Submariner was introduced in 1953 with the reference 6204 and was the first waterproof diver's watch in history. This model featured a stainless steel strap and a sturdy case that allowed it to be worn down to 100 meters. Its water resistant capability was later increased to 300 meters. Its unidirectional rotating bezel allows divers to track their dive times and decompression stops. Furthermore, the Rolex Submariner's glowing hands and markers make it easy to read even in deep water. Rolex introduced in 1979 the new Submariner Date with reference 16808. This Rolex uses the caliber 3035 and is made in 18 carat yellow gold. It has a water resistance up to 300 meters deep and a rotating bezel. The indexes on this dial are in the shape of a "Nipple" and at 6 o'clock it has the inscription "T SWISS T", because of the Tritium in the luminescent markers, with a radioactivity level below 25 MCi, as required by law.
