Rolex Submariner Date -16618 - Very Good - Box Only

The Rolex Submariner was introduced in 1953 with the reference 6204 and was the first waterproof diver's watch in history. This model featured a stainless steel strap and a sturdy case that allowed it to be worn down to 100 meters. Its water resistant capability was later increased to 300 meters. Its unidirectional rotating bezel allows divers to track their dive times and decompression stops. Furthermore, the Rolex Submariner's glowing hands and markers make it easy to read even in deep water. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date with reference 16618 appears in 1989 and although it is also made in 18K yellow gold, its main difference is that it has a resistance of 300 meters deep in water. The bezel and dial can be found in blue and black, but in addition, there is a dial that had diamonds and sapphires in the indexes, which is called "Sultan dial". This model used Tritium until the late 90's when it was changed to Superluminova.
